"Images From Space Confirm..."
so the hundreds of images that we've seen from land over the last 72 hours don't count?
who writes these silly titles?
18 1
John >
The word 'confirm' simply implies that 'these pictures agree with what we already knew'.
There's no harm in that.

Bacon207 >
I guess that pictures of human beings walking on said island don't count as confirmation...
2
MidianGTX >
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the point is that this is the best "before/after" evidence we've seen thus far... and probably the best we're go
to get.

yeah right, they should not have used the word 'confirm'

They might be the first "Official" agency to say so other were just people taking photos or news agencies that's why they used "confirm"
imo

How long do these islands last before the sea reclaims them? I would imagine the mud would not stand up to one good storm. . .

I doubt that the ocean hacking up a spit of sand will be permanent. The next one, will probably wash it away.

I am sorry, I don't understand your point. I have lived on the ocean. Storms make little islands. They are there for a while and then
the next storm takes them away. That is reality.

Hmm, and yet scientists keep telling us that geologic changes require millions and billions of years. Make up your minds!
1 1
datcv >
What the hell are you talking about? Yes, in general, many features of the earths geological makeup have taken millions of years but
scientists have never claimed that an earthquake or volcano cannot create a small island in one violent event. So I am at a loss as to the
purpose of your comment.
6
Glenn A.M. >
Oh that's easily done, if you realize that there is no real purpose to comments concerning anything pertaining to science from
people like ebinrock. It's called "belligerent ignorance".

Travel faster than the speed of light i.e. E=mc3 (3 =mc3)
111 = 111-111-111-111-111-111-111-111-111-111-111-111-111-111
111 = 3
Basically 3=3
3 = mc3 m - 13 or 1-111 c - 3 39 or 111-111-111-111

So, mud is pretty fertile right? Can this island be inhabited soon, or is it just going to sink back into the sea?
