WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECTWith advancements in battlefield medicine and body armor, an unprecedented percentage of American soldiers are surviving severe injuries. These service members are returning home
from the battlefield alive, but facing major challenges.
The Wounded Warrior Project, begun as a small program to provide comfort items to wounded veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, now serves thousands of these brave individuals as they recover and transition back to civilian life.
