Modos Controlados por Presión
• El ventilador administra respiraciones a una presión preseleccionada constante (Nivel sobre Peep) con un flujo decreciente durante el tiempo seleccionado y a la frecuencia preajustada.
• Frecuencia y relación I:E totalmente controladas.• Ventajas: Las presiones pico serán de acuerdo a
los ajustes. No hay riesgo en el uso de PEEP.• Desventaja: No existe garantía de ventilación.

• El único parámetro que gobernamos es la presión. El flujo y el volúmen varían de acuerdo a la resistencia de las vías aéreas.

Modos Controlados por Volumen• El ventilador administra el volumen corriente
seleccionado a flujo constante, durante el tiempo preajustado y a la frecuencia preseleccionada.
• Tiempos de inspiración, pausa y espiración totalmente controlados.
• Ventaja: Se tiene garantía de ventilación.• Desventaja: Pueden usarse Presiones Pico muy
altas.

Sistemas de disparo del ventilador
• Disparo por Presión:
se establece una presión negativa máxima, que al ser superada por el paciente dispara nuevamente el suministro de aire al mismo.

Sistemas de disparo del ventilador
• Disparo por flujo: se establece un flujo
circulante conocido. Este es medido a la entrada y a la salida del equipo, la diferencia entre las mediciones establece el disparo del ventilador.

• Son sencillos y confibles.• Tienen mezclador de gases externo
