FIRST GRADE Science
Week of April 20, 2020
SCI Topic of study- Animals and Plants
Directions:
First, take a look at the slides (pp 39-41) and determine if it is a
picture of an animal or plant.
Parent tip- Discuss with your student that animals need air, water,
food, and shelter. How can I compare and contrast the needs of
plants and animals? Help develop these vocabulary words
throughout the discussion.
Directions:
Now, take a look at the slides (pp 43-45) You will see 5
problems and 5 solutions. Match each problem to the correct
solution.
Finally, fill out the chart below (p 46) comparing the basic needs
between plants, animals and US! Take a picture of the completed
chart and submit to your teacher on Dojo.
