William Henry Gates III Seattlen jaio zen 1955ko urriaren 28an, Bill Gates bezala ezagunagoa da,  enpresaburu eta filantropo estatubatuarra da, Microsoft softwarearen enpresaren kofundatzailea da eta munduan gehien erabiltzen den sistema eragilearen produktorea: Microsoft Windows. Estimazio batzuen arabera, hamar ordenagailutik bederatzik erabiltzen dute sistema eragile hau. Melinda French da bere emaztea, eta biek

batera Bill eta Melinda Gates Fundazioa eramaten dute, mundu mailan osasun eta hezkuntza aukerak berrorekatzeaz arduratzen dena, aukera gutxiko eskualdeetan bereziki. Bere fortuna, 80,2mila milloi dolarrekoa da Forbesen arabera.

Kooperazio Internazionaleko Asturiasko Printze Saria jaso zuten 2006. urtean.

Paul Allen Seattlen jaio zen 1953ko urtarrilaren 21ean.Gaur egun  Estatu batuar enpresaria da.2011n munduko 57. pertsonarik aberatsena izan zen.

1975. urtean, Microsoft sortu zuen Bill Gatesekin batera

Mexiko Berrian. Allen eta Billek, sistema eragile bat erosi zuten 50.000 euroren truke, horrela Microsoft ordenagailu berriez hornitzeko gai zen. Microsoften lehenengo proiektuak BASIC, COBOL eta FORTRAN izan ziren. Sortu zuten lehenengo sistema eragilea, Unixen aldaera bat izan zen: 1979an Disk Operative Systemek Microsoften lehenengo arrakasta lortu zuen sistema eragilea hain zuzen ere. 1983an, Microsoft utzi behar izan

zuen, Hodgkinen linfoma bat zuelako. 1990ean Microsoftera itzuli zen zuzendari moduan. Urte horretanVulcan Ventures sortu zuen non kable bidezko eta banda zabaleko zerbitzuak eskaini zituen.
