Indefinite articles• We already learned that definite articles mean “the”.

• The indirect object comes first: Me

• Finally the subject of the verb: la playa.
Make it negative by adding “no” before the indirect object pronoun .

Conjugating Verbs
• To conjugate verbs means to change the verb so that it agrees with a specific subject.

• Most verbs follow the same conjugation pattern based
on the subject. The verb will have a different ending depending on the subject used.
• Some verbs are irregular, like “ser “and “ir”. Irregular verbs does not follow a pattern and these must be

Verbs with an irregular “yo” form
• These verbs have an irregular ‘yo’ form but are conjugated regularly in all other forms according to their ending.– hacer (to do, to make): hago– poner (to put): pongo– salir (to go out): salgo– traer (to bring): traigo– saber (to know): sé– ver (to see): veo
Stem-changing verbs:
• Some verbs do not follow the regular conjugation pattern.
• These verbs that change in the stem are called “stem-changing verbs.”

• There are three types of stem changing verbs: e-ie; o-ue; and e-i.
• Stem changing verbs are also called “boot verbs” because of the changes that occur inside the boot.

NegationNegative phrases are usually placed before a verb, and a double negative can be used.

direct objects (it, them) to avoid repetitiveness.
• These pronouns are placed before a conjugated verb or attached to an infinitive.
