• run two working temperatures in the same device, in three different ways:

- both chambers equally or differently isothermic

- one chamber with a temperature program, the other isothermic

- both chambers with a temperature program

• add a new dimension to column switching, e.g. using columns of different polarities at different temperatures for higher resolution, shorter analysis times, thus increasing detection limits

• double the column space by taking out the partition, for extra-long columns and a total of 8 detector and injector connections
