Once again Taxi Magazine becomesour objective upon getting into a taxi.Once we set the destination, the coverimage draws your attention. The musi-cal adventure of Voca People is one ofthe Madrid spring theater season’s big-gest draws. The Compac Gran VíaTheater hosts a show in which voicesare the stars, without a single instru-ment, resulting in a performance thatwill leave you astonished.
Along with the inhabitants of the Vocaplanet, our review of Madrid’s theaterscene includes a stop at the TeatroEspañol, where the T de Teatre com-pany presents Delicadas; in FernánGomez’s show we can witness the sta-ging of the texts of the successfulSwedish author August Strindberg. Finally, the Ballet Flamenco deMadrid’s Carmen sets the standardonce more in anticipation of the sum-mer season.
Far from Madrid we take a ride to thelong-awaited opening of the MARQ’snew exhibit in Alicante. Ermitageshows us the finest treasures ofRussian archeology, while work conti-nues in Lorca to set up theArcheological Park of the LorcaCastle.
All this and an endless array of variousproposals and ideas you can get toonboard a taxi.

Delicadas is the new feature at the Teatro Español.
The story is told by the company T de Teatre, a group
which traces its origins back to 1991 when 5 actresses
bent on triumphing decided to set up their own outfit
rather than waiting for a director to call.
This work narrates the experiences of fragile
characters who must forget about the delicateness
which floods their lives in order to learn to survive.
Constructed from a series of a apparently unrelated
fragments - with everything from a father who wants
to become his daughter’s friend on Facebook to
a drummer in a military band offering a cymbal
concert this is a story of reconciliations. In short,
a contemporary and realistic work enclosing us in a
universe in which the rosebush that was dead ends up
blooming once again.

A new music phenomenon comes to Madrid’s
Teatro Compac Gran Vía on April 26th, as Voca
People visits Spain for the first time. A theater
performance combining traditional a cappella singing
with the modern art of beatboxing. This is an
innovative work in which the main characters,
8 friends from outer space, will imitate the sounds
of drums, trumpets, guitars and other instruments
- all without using any of them. The show
includes performers clad in peculiar garb, leading
to a very humorous production in which audience
participation is key.
Its success and relevance are based on its mix of eight
talented musicians/actors, including three women
who provide the musical registers fit for female voices,
with an alto, mezzo-soprano and soprano, and three
male singers providing the bass, baritone and tenor
voices. The group is rounded out by a set of
beatbox artists considered the very best in their field.

Their philosophy of life isbased on the mantra “music is life and life is music,”as they consider music the best instrument throughwhich to bring harmony and pleasure to all the pla-nets, in addition to the best tool for interracial andintercultural rapport. PLAZA DOCTOR GÓMEZ ULLA, S/N / Alicante / 96 514 90 00 / Desde / From 15 abr.
For the first time in Spain and in the world, and
thanks to the Alicante Archaeological Museum and
the Hermitage Museum, Hermitage is featured:
Russian Archeological Treasures. A selection of five
hundred pieces characterizing different periods and
areas. The exhibition is the result of the close rela-
tionship between the two museums, that began in
2008, since then leading to several collaborative pro-
jects . This year both countries celebrate the cultural
event known as the "Year of Russia in Spain and
Spain in Russia," which has served to strengthen
even further the ties between these two art centers.
This collection can be seen in Alicante between April
and October. An exhibition which has selected some
five hundred samples from the Hermitage archaeolo-
gical collection, drawn from various time periods. It
is divided into three parts, each one characterized by
one of the colors on the Russian flag. The first, the
white section, features representations of Ice Age
people. The blue section, meanwhile, covers the ear-
liest civilizations united by their dependence upon
the sea. And finally there is the red section, corres-
ponding to the Middle Age, with palaces, religious
buildings and fortresses dominated by their red brick
construction. A unique moment to enjoy and appre-
ciate these most precious relics, forming part of
human heritage and leaving Russia for the very
first time.

An Intimate Moment is the new feature at the Byzantine
Wall Exhibition Center. For some time now this facility has
specialized in sharing with all Cartagena residents and visi-
tors the most innovative and groundbreaking artistic produc-
tions, contemporary creations of all different kinds. This time
artist Belén Orta turns to conceptual art, with its infinite
variations, a form of artistic expression in which the intellec-
tual process is the essential element for a correct interpreta-
tion of that exhibited. The work is characterized by its strong
intrinsic component. On the one hand, we perceive the idea
that the artist tries to convey and, on the other, the feeling
that the viewer receives. In this way the relationship beco-
mes a very personal one, with three inseparable elements :
the artist, the work and the viewer.Through all this, Belén
Orta suggests, for a correct appreciation of her pieces, to
make variable and repetitive movements creating, in a subtle
way, a performative choreography as viewers position them-
selves in the right spot for viewing.Observers thus become
active and essential parts in the activation of the piece.

guiados, previa reserva.
Since 2009, a multidisciplinary research team has
been conducting an in-depth archeological study of the
eastern section of Lorca Castle as part of an integrated
project to excavate, consolidate, assess and adapt to
tourism use the only remaining intact section of the
Fortaleza del Sol in Lorca.
The archeological digs carried out to date have revea-
led not only different areas within the Moorish citadel
in the city of Lorca (which was the main urban center
of the Tudmir province until the 11th century), but,
more significantly, the Jewish quarter that was
established within it in the 14th and 15th centuries,
highlighted by an arts and crafts production center and
an entire section of living spaces. These findings, in
addition to the spectacular late Middle Ages synago-
gue that was excavated in previous years, comprise an
interesting archeological site that in coming years will
make up the Archeological Park of Lorca Castle.
Though the ultimate goal is to set up a museum-like
itinerary through the castle that will let visitors see the
most interesting remains that are unearthed, including
the San Clemente Church and the Puerta del Pescado
[Fish Gate], the project has been open to everyone and
to public scrutiny from the beginning as part of the
so-called “Open for excavation” Time Workshop
program developed by Lorca, and which allows visitors
to reserve their spot for a guided tour of the
excavations carried out to date.

“Bodegas con Carácter”
La Última The last one
LA APUESTA> ESCENAS
Texto: MARIO DE LAS HERAS
