History of Bucktown
Although smaller neighborhood of Chicago, Bucktown is a neighborhood with it’s own unique personality. Bucktown was originally a hub for Polish immigrants in the 1800s. Since then, it has grown in size and population with a dominant hispanic population as of today. Multiple street art and portraits are painted on sides of buildings, giving Bucktown that “hipster” or “artsy” vibe. Despite the fact that it is shadowed by Wicker Park, a bigger and more known neighboorhood to the south, Bucktown still has it’s own original character.
