CONCLUSIONS:Our results strengthen the evidence for a possible protective role of dairy products on colorectal cancer risk. The inverse associations we observed did not differ by the fat content of the dairy products considered.

Our study demonstrates the protective effects of high intakes of total dairy, low-fat and fermented dairy, as well as low intakes of high-fat dairy products against breast cancer risk.
The majority of data available from both epidemiological and interventionstudies provide evidence of a negative but modest association between milk anddairy product consumption and BMI and other measures of adiposity, withindications that higher intakes result in increased weight loss and lean tissuemaintenance during energy restriction …………. furthermore, accumulatingevidence indicates an impact of dairy constituents, in particular whey proteinderivatives, on appetite regulation and food intake. The present review summarises available data and provides an insight into thelikely contribution of dairy foods to strategies aimed at appetite regulation, weight loss or the prevention of weight gain.
