Child and adolescent psychia- trists who are sole or first authors of papers published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry between July I, 1993, and June 30, 1994, are eligible for the 1993-1994 Rieger Award. For details, see J. Am. Acad. Child Adolesc. Psychiatry, 27(1):7. Award: The third BEATRICE CUMMINGS MAYER AWARD of $5,000 will be given in October 1994 for the best article on depression or suicide published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry between July I, 1993 and June 30, 1994. All notices must be received no later than 4'12 months before the first day of the month of desired publication. The Journal is published bimonthly beginning in January of each year. Requests, typed double-spaced, as one concise paragraph, should be sent directly to John F. McDermott, Jr., M.D., Editor, Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University of Hawaii School of Medicine at Kapiolani Medical Center, 1319 Punahou Street, Honolulu, HI96826-1032. The Editor reserves the right to edit announcements selected for publication. Errata In the article, "Pharmacological Management of Pain in Children," by Betty Pfefferbaum and Carin A. Hagberg, published in the March 1993 issue of the Journal (32:235-242), on page 237, second paragraph, the dose should be "0.025 to 2.6 mg/kg per hour" instead of "0.025 or 2.6 mg/kg per hour." In the article, "Unsuspected Language Impairment in Psychiatrically Disturbed Children: Prevalence and Language and Behavioral Characteristics," by Nancy 1. Cohen et aI., published in the May 1993 issue of the Journal (32:595-603), on p. 595, first paragraph, line 12, should read " ... language impairments that were unsuspected until a routine systematic assessment was done ....
